FREELAND, Mich. - The Adrian College men's soccer team was picked third in the 2017 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) men's soccer preseason poll that was released by the league office today (August 23).
Calvin was chosen to finish at the top of the poll with seven points (7 first-place votes). Alma came in second with 14 points (1 first-place vote). The Bulldogs received 18 points for the third spot followed by Kalamazoo with 28 points. Albion 30, Hope 36, Olivet 45, and Trine 46 finished out the poll.
"It is certainly nice for our program to be held in high regard throughout the MIAA," said Head Coach Charlie Edwards, "The MIAA is a very competitive conference, and this year will be no different. We will be tested game in, and game out for the entire year.
Adrian starts the 2017 season at home against Augustana (Ill.) on Sunday, September 3, at 1:00 p.m., ET.
