HOW IT HAPPENED
Adrian College took control of the contest early, notching its goal halfway through the opening-half. AC's goal was scored by Zach Combs in the 24th minute.
The goal was a result of Tad Gabryel booting the ball up field and into the offensive box, where it was then picked up by Combs. With the ball on his foot, the senior found just one defender and a goalie in his way. He beat the defender handedly and then out played the goalie by sending the ball into the upper left hand side of the goal.
The Bulldogs recorded their fifth shutout of the season as Spencer Brown made four saves en route to his seventh win thus far.
AC lead in both the shot (10-5) and shot on-goal (5-4) counts, while tying the Tigers in saves (4) and corner kicks (3).
- Senior Zach Combs with his third goal of the season securing the Bulldog victory.
- Freshman Tad Gabryel with his first-collegiate assist, coming on the game-winning goal.
- Senior Spencer Brown who recorded his fifth shutout of the 2019 season, making four saves in the process.
The Bulldogs will hit the road as they travel to take on the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern in a 7 p.m. contest on Wednesday.
