ADA, Ohio – The Adrian College men's soccer team fell in a tough matchup at Ohio Northern University (ONU) on Wednesday, but not without breaking the hosts' five-game shutout streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs were strong out of the gate, making the scoreboard in the opening-minute. AC's goal was scored by Garrett Miller just 20 seconds into the contest, helped along by Brad Squires. The classmates' goal put an end to the Polar Bears' shutout streak, which had reached five games, having not allowed a goal since Sept. 7.
Despite the seniors' efforts, ONU was able to knot the game at one 23 minutes later. The game remained tied until 24 minutes into the second half, when the hosts posted an insurance tally.
The Polar Bears ultimately put the idea of a comeback to bed less than a minute later, with their third and final goal.
Spencer Brown spent all 90 minutes in goal, making three saves in AC's efforts. On the other end of the field, Adrian put up 11 shots.

Classmate Brad Squires recorded his first-career assist on the Bulldogs lone tally.
Fellow senior Spencer Brown added three saves to his season tally, now at 38.
The Bulldogs return home as they are set to host the Lions of Mt. St. Joseph in a 3 p.m. contest on Saturday.
