HOW IT HAPPENED

In what was an uncharacteristic first half for the Bulldogs, the Hornets dealt the first blow. Their goal came off a corner insert by Aidan Hurley, which found its way onto the foot of Ben Meschke and into the back of the goal in the 30th minute.

AC looked to even the score with three minutes remaining in the half, as Macgregor Adams sent a strong shot into the dead center of the goal, where it was stopped by a bread basket save.

The second half got off to a quiet start, with no notable shot attempts by either side. The Bulldogs turned up the intensity in the 71st minute as Garrett Miller sent a free kick onto goal, where the goalkeeper bobbled it, before making the save.

Miller's efforts finally paid off as he put a shot on goal, which was saved, before Dylan Wismont cleaned up with what was his team-leading fifth goal of the season, coming with 14 minutes remaining in regulation.

The First overtime started with Kzoo sending a long shot on goal in the opening two minutes, which was saved by Spencer Brown, but not before taking a scary bounce toward the goal line. Wismont closed out the period with a strong shot towards the right post, just stopped by a drop down save on behalf of the Hornets.

Overtime number two saw high intensity, with just one shot on goal posted. The shut was owned by Miller who was given a penalty kick with less than 1:20 remaining on the clock. The senior's shot was not enough however, meeting the bread basket of the goalie once again.

Classmate Spencer Brown played all 110:00, making four saves.
