Brown All-MIAA First Team Selection; Miller and Tobin Second Team

FREELAND, Mich. – The Adrian College men's soccer team saw a trio of athletes to All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Associations (MIAA) selections released Friday afternoon. Senior Spencer Brown was the Bulldogs' lone first team honoree, with Garrett Miller and Justin Tobin finding their ways onto the second team.

This is Brown's second All-MIAA appearance, earning a second team nod in 2018. The Monroe, Mich. native is the starting goalie for Adrian, having appeared and started in all 18 games this season. Over the course of 1626:09 played, he has made 68 saves for a .773 save percentage and 1.11 goals against average for 11 wins.

A junior, Tobin has made All-MIAA every year, with a first team and second team already under his belt. The defender has also found himself in the offensive zone several times this season, posting four shots on-goal and one game winning goal. His game winner game against Mich.-Dearborn on Sept. 14, the difference in a 2-1 victory.

Rounding out all-conference honors for the Bulldogs was Miller with his first-collegiate MIAA selection. The Grand Blanc, Mich. native leads the offense, with team-bests in goals (7), assists (3) and points (17). He performances earned him an MIAA Offensive Player of the Week nod for the week ending Oct. 27.

The fourth-seeded Adrian College returns to action at 7 p.m. on Saturday, as it hosts fifth-seeded Albion College for the opening round of the MIAA Tournament.
