FREELAND, Mich. – Adrian College men's tennis junior Nathan Waterbury was named to the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) All-Conference Second Team the league announced on Wednesday, May 1. Waterbury spent the year playing against top opponents, playing at the one spot in both doubles and singles action.
Waterbury went 7-15 in singles play, with all seven wins coming in duals. He went 3-4 in MIAA action and all of his dual matches were as the top singles player for the Bulldogs. He had a winning record in doubles with partner and classmate Tanner Wilcox, going 12-11 overall and 10-9 in duals with a 4-3 mark in conference play. The duo went 8-9 at the top spot and 2-0 while playing two doubles. Their longest winning streak was from the end of the fall season to the beginning of the spring where the duo won four straight matches.
This is the first All-Conference award for Adrian since the 2017 season when the Black and Gold had players named to the first and second teams.
