CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA -- Adrian College sophomore Noah Marcinkowski (Menifee, Calif.) was tabbed the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) Offensive Player of the Week by the league office on Thursday (April 5). This is Marcinkowski's first career player of the week honor and the second for the AC men's volleyball program.
The Bulldogs participated in three matches last week, all of which took place at the Hiram Invitational. In the first match of the week against Juniata, Marcinkowski led Adrian with nine kills and six digs while also tallying a block assist.
The second-year outside hitter caught his stride in the second match when he totaled a team-high 19 kills in a five-set match against Illinois Tech.
In the final match of the week, Marcinkowski led the Bulldogs to a 3-1 victory over host Hiram where he registered a match-high 17 kills. He also contributed defensively with four digs and two block-assists. He finished the week with 45 kills, 17 digs, and four block assists.
Adrian wraps up the 2018 season tonight in a match versus Olivet in the Merillat Sports and Fitness Center. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m., ET, and is Senior Night.
