KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Bulldogs took on Kalamazoo College Wednesday night in their second MIAA matchup of 2014-15. The Hornets gained the early edge on Adrian as they carried a 33-22 halftime lead. Kalamazoo then added to this lead in the second half to take the game, 82-51, to leave the overall record for the Bulldogs at 1-5 with a 0-2 mark in the MIAA.
The Bulldogs began the game slow as Kalamazoo scored the first 11 points of the game. Adrian could not overcome this deficit despite battling the Hornets the remainder of the first half led by Amber McCullough as she scored six points and added six rebounds.
The second half saw the Hornets stretch their lead before the Bulldogs could respond. McCullough led the Bulldog offense as they battled to get back into the game with eight points and three rebounds to add to her first half totals. Adrian could not fight back into the game as the Hornets gave Adrian their second MIAA loss of 2014-15.
Adrian will see action again on December 20 when the host Anderson (Ind.) at 3 p.m.
