Adrian Selected to Finish First in NCHA Preseason Poll

DULUTH, Minn. – The Adrian College women's hockey team has been picked to finish atop the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) in the coaches' preseason poll announced by the conference office on Thursday, receiving 67 points (7 first-place votes).

Adrian College has won the past-five regular-season championships, while winning the 2018-19 Slaats Cup championship and appearing in its fourth-straight NCAA Division III National Tournament. In its most recent tournament appearance, AC placed third after defeating St. Thomas (Minn.) 1-0, to finish the season with a 24-5-2 (15-1-2 NCHA) record.

The Bulldogs are returning a trio of all-league selections, led by First Team All-American and captain Kelly O'Sullivan with her 21 points (7 goals, 14 assists).

Classmate Jacqueline White, who finished second on the squad in scoring with 31 points on nine goals and 22 assists. Rounding out the all-NCHA honorees is goalie Denisa Jandova, who posted the best goals-against average, 0.98, finishing third in the nation.

The Bulldogs open regular season play at 7 p.m. on Friday Nov. 1, as they host the Hamline Pipers at Arrington Arena.
