ADRIAN, Mich. – The women's lacrosse team (10-2) rebounded from an early deficit to go to 2-0 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association by defeating Hope College, 22-5, Wednesday night.

The turning point in the game came when Adrian called timeout after Hope had taken a 3-1 lead after only about three minutes of play. After the Bulldogs regrouped, the Flying Dutch would score just two goals the rest of the contest.

Of the 44 shots the Bulldogs took, 32 were on net and Adrian hit four posts. Six different Bulldogs accounted for all the Adrian scoring.

Olivia Duncan netted seven goals, Hannah Early had five, Heather Newblom scored four, and Stacey Birlson, Maddie Dugan, and TaShina Salas each added two apiece.

Birlson was the overall point leader with 10, after adding eight assists.

Ten different Adrian players had one groundball or more, with Salas leading the way with three.

Maddie McDonald registered three saves in the win.

Adrian will hit the road for the next three conference games starting Saturday, April 13th at 1 p.m. at Alma.
