ANGOLA, Ind. – The women's lacrosse team (13-2) extended their win streak to seven games and remained undefeated on the road (9-0) and in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (5-0) with a 16-3 win over Trine University (2-5, 1-3) Friday afternoon at Fred Zollner Stadium under gusting winds.

Hannah Early's first of six goals broke a 1-1 tie and sent the Bulldogs on their way to victory. Olivia Duncan also scored six goals, while Stacey Birlson (one goal, six assists) had a seven-point outing to lead Adrian.

After the Thunder tied the game at 1-1 about five minutes into the first half, the Bulldogs rattled off the game's next dozen goals before Trine could counter.

All three Trine goals were scored from free-position shots.

Heather Newblom added a pair of goals, while single tallies came from Maddie Dugan and Birlson.

Maddie McDonald improved her record to 13-2 from the cage with three saves, while Adrian held edges in groundballs (29-18), draw controls (13-8), and shots (42-14).

Birlson led the team in groundballs with six; Newblom in draws with three, and Duncan had 12 shots of which seven were on net.

The Bulldogs will play their final regular-season game at home next Saturday, April 27th at 1 p.m. against Albion.
