FREELAND, Mich. – Adrian College's McKenna Mahoney – of the women's soccer team – was selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 29.
Mahoney had a four-point outing (2 g) against Transylvania on Saturday, helping the Bulldogs to a huge 8-0 road win.
In Saturday's win, the Trenton, Mich. native posted the game-winning goal just short of 25 minutes into the opening half. She also added the sixth goal of the day for the Bulldogs, making the score 6-0.
The sophomore now has a second-best six goals on the season, trailing Caroline Fleming by one. She also ranks second in points behind Fleming with 12.
The Bulldogs open their conference slate with a 4 p.m. contest with Olivet, to be played in Docking Stadium on Tuesday.
