Bulldogs End Spring Trip With A Win

CLERMONT, Fla. - It was a 5-4 win for the Adrian Bulldog softball team over Johnson & Wales (RI) in the final day of the spring softball trip. Three different pitchers took to the circle for the win as the Bulldogs improve to 6-3 on the season.

Junior Jami Shafley, freshman Brooke Stewart and senior Kelly Eberhardt all combined for the win, as the trio gave up four runs on five hits for the game.

Senior Sarah Hall came up big for the Bulldogs, going 3-for-3 with a double, one run, and two runs batted in. Senior Maggie Hein went 2-for-4 at the plate, scoring two runs and recording a stolen base.

It will be 12 days off now for the Bulldogs as they will not have another game until March 14. On that day, Bluffton will travel to the Adrian College Softball Field to take on the Bulldogs for a doubleheader. The first game is scheduled to start at 3:30 pm, with a 5:30 pm game to follow.
