Schweikert Steps Down as Head Softball Coach

ADRIAN, Mich. – Head Softball Coach Kristina Schweikert has stepped down from her position after seven very successful seasons with the Bulldogs. She compiled a record of 178-92 during her tenure and will not go far as she has accepted another position on campus as the Special Programs Coodinator in Academic Services.

Adrian College posted 20 or more wins in five of Schweikert's seven seasons and leaves as the school's all-time winningest softball coach. The Bulldogs won 65.9 percent of their games under Schweikert and placed second twice in the MIAA regular season while qualifying for the MIAA Tournament six times in her seven seasons.

Adrian College has begun a national search for the program's next head coach.
