Bulldogs Swept By Cross Town Saints

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College softball team lost both games in the doubleheader against cross town rival Siena Heights University on Tuesday (April 19) at the AC Softball Field.

ADRIAN HITTING

Game One

Morgan Brandt (2-for-3) and Karissa DeVore (2-for-3) led the Bulldogs with two hits (DeVore 2B)

• Brandt, DeVore, Rebecca Greco (1-for3) and Jessica Palumbo (1-for-3) all had one RBI for Adrian

Game Two

• DeVore (2-for-2) and K'ya Toles-Burton (2-for-2) led Adrian in game two with two hits (DeVore 2B, Toles-Burton HR)

• Toles-Burton had all three Bulldog RBIs

ADRIAN PITCHING

Game One

Kelsey Meyer (L, 6-7) pitched her eighth complete game of the season

• She faced 32 batters, striking out five, and surrendered six hits and four runs (two earned)

Game Two

Kaitlin Lock (L, 3-6) pitched the first 1.2 innings

• She faced 13 batters and surrendered five hits and seven runs (two earned)

Rebecca Neal relieved Lock and pitched 1 inning

• She faced eight batters and gave up four hits, five runs (four earned) and one home run

Katie Jenkins pitched the final 2.1 innings, facing 10 batters and allowed three hits and one run

SIENA HEIGHTS HITTING

Game One

• Six different players got one hit for the Saints

• K. Abbott (1-for-3) had two RBIs; K. Keller (1-for-3) and K. Cherry (1-for-3) each had one RBI

Game Two

• M. Jones (3-for-3) led Siena Heights with three hits and four RBIs

• K. Keller (2-for-3) tallied two hits and two RBIs

SIENA HEIGHTS PITCHING

Game One

•  L. Ducat (W, 9-8) started in the circle for the Saints, pitching a complete game

• She faced 34 batters and struck out four

• Ducat gave up 10 hits and three earned runs

Game Two

• A. Vasquez (W, 2-0) pitched all 5 innings and faced 22 batters and gave up seven hits, three runs (all earned) and one home run
