CLERMONT, FLA. - The Adrian College softball team is 5-3 after finishing 1-1 on day four of the team's Florida trip. The Bulldogs lost a high-scoring game one 13-12 in eight innings against Saint Mary's (Minn.) before winning game two against Rose-Hulman 6-4. Madison Budde (Novi, Mich.) tallied four RBI's in game one.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The teams were tied with 11 runs after seven innings in the first game. Adrian broke the tie in the eighth inning with a run scored on a sacrifice fly by Hope Kapelanski (Novi, Mich.) that scored Lindsey Branscum (Clinton, Mich.) for a 12-11 advantage. Tara Nikolich singled to score two of her teammates for a 13-12 win.
Emily Baldus (Saline, Mich.) pitched 2.1 innings in the circle for the Bulldogs. She allowed six hits, six runs, and one strike-out. Loren Vail (Belleville, Mich.) appeared for 5.1 innings while allowing 10 hits and seven runs.
Adrian wraps up the trip to Florida with two games tomorrow (March 2). The Bulldogs will face Concordia-Moorhead at 2:00 p.m., ET and Southwestern (Texas) at 4:30 p.m., ET.
