Volleyball Wins Two in Indiana

MANCHESTER , Ind. – The Adrian College (6-18) women's volleyball team left the state of Indiana with two victories on Saturday (Oct. 15). The Lady Bulldogs crushed Earlham College (Ind.) (3-21) 3-0 in match one by the scores of 25-16, 25-9, and 25-13. In the nightcap, Adrian came out victorious over Manchester College (Ind.) (12-12) with a score of 3-1 (27-25, 21-25, 25-23, 25-18).

In game one, Adrian earned a season-high .464 attack percentage led by Roxanne Duran who had a game-high 13 kills. On defense, Libero Kristi Walker had a game-high eight digs. Accounting for a team-high 12 assists was Ashely Vernier, while Joanna Slisinger had eight.

Two Lady Bulldogs set career-milestones in match number two against Manchester. Andrea Phillips garnered a career-high with a game-high of 15 kills. Also earning a career-high mark was Walker with a game-high 32 digs. Not to be out done, Danielle Bogedin tied a career-high with 11 kills.

Also earning double-digits-digs on defense were Duran and Elise Mindick with 16 and 11, respectively.

Adrian looks to make it three-straight wins as it travels to Hope next Tuesday (Oct. 18) at 6:30 p.m.
