HOLLAND, Mich. – Adrian's women's volleyball team (4-2, 0-2) dropped three sets (25-9, 25-10, 25-8) to perennial power Hope College (6-0, 2-0) Friday evening at the Devos Fieldhouse in front of about 750 spectators in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play.

Juniors Ellie Mindick (Northville, Mich.) and Carly Tyson (Big Rapids, Mich.) along with freshmanJordan Brisson (Waterford, Mich.) were the bright spots for the Bulldogs. Team-wise, Adrian out-attacked Hope 80-64 for the match.

Mindick led the team in attacks (24) and kills (5); while Tyson and Brisson led the team in assists and digs, respectively, with six each.

Having faced what should be their two toughest opponents (Hope and Calvin) all season in their past two matches, the team is set to rebound when they return home tomorrow for a pair of Saturday matches against Trine College at 11 a.m. and Bluffton University at 1 p.m.
