Volleyball Goes 2-1 at Concordia Quad

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The Adrian College women's volleyball team played at the Concordia University Quad on Saturday and finished with a 2-1 record for the day. The Bulldogs defeated Rochester in four sets in the first match (25-21, 23-25, 25-17, 25-17). Freshman Makahla Jacobs led the team with 13 kills against the Warriors. Kristi Walker registered 20 digs and Casey Donovan also had 13 digs. Carly Tyson's 24 assists led the team.

The second match was a straight sets win over Marygrove (27-25, 25-17, 25-11). Adrian had 35 team kills and 52 team digs in the middle match. Jacobs had 16 kills followed by six kills from sophomore Linnea Berriman. Tyson led the team with 14 assists and Andrea Phillips led the team with 12 digs.

In the final match, Adrian lost a five-setter to host Concordia (18-25, 25-9, 20-25, 25-22, 12-15) in a battle of unbeatens on the day. Adrian had 52 team kills and 77 team digs. Jacobs had 19 kills to finish off a solid day. Freshman Jordan Brisson added 14 kills. Berriman recorded six kills. Walker led the team with 21 digs and Phillips added 15.
