Women’s Volleyball Rallies Before Losing to Trine, 3-1

Angola, Ind. – The women's volleyball team (11-14, 4-7) dropped their match at Trine (16-8, 7-4), 3-1, Wednesday night. The team dropped the first set, 25-18, but played a tough second set and came up just short at 27-25. After rallying and taking the third set, 25-21, they lost the fourth set, 25-20.

Leading the team up front were Jordan Brisson with 30 attacks, Chelsea Jordan with eight kills, Carly Tyson with 12 assists, and Andrea Phillips with two service aces. Defensively, Kristi Walker had 13 digs and Linnea Berriman had one blocked shot and four block assists. Overall, the team out-dug Trine, 56-48.

The team has almost a week off before returning to play at home next Tuesday, October 16th at 7:00 p.m. against Saint Mary's in another conference matchup.
