ADRIAN, Mich. – Defending MIAA champion Calvin College has been selected as the preseason favorite to win the 2013 volleyball conference championship. The Knights, who finished second in the 2012 NCAA tournament, received seven of the nine possible first place votes. Hope received the remaining two first place votes and has been chosen to finish second.
The poll results are as follows (first-place votes in parenthesis):

The MIAA has fierce competition with highly-ranked teams favored in the conference, and an up and coming Adrian College squad that is confident about its 2013 outlook. The Bulldogs will open both at home and in conference on September 6th against Kalamazoo at 7 p.m. The 2013 schedule is highlighted by two matches against both #1 Calvin and #4 Hope, and also features a crucial October 15th home match against Alma.
