HOW IT HAPPENED
The first set was back and forth with neither team able to pull away, until Adrian got on a run midway through the set. The Bulldogs didn't look back and took the set, 25-15.
It was all Wooster in the second set, with the Fighting Scots jumping out to an early 12-2 lead. Wooster would hold a lead of no less than nine for the remainder of the set, taking set two 25-10.
But Adrian got its revenge in the third set; after losing the first point, the Black and Gold rattled off 14 straight points to go up 14-1 in the frame. The Fighting Scots would only muster eight more points in the set, giving the Bulldogs the 25-9 set win.
Wooster jumped out ahead in the fourth set with its back against the wall. The Fighting Scots built an eight-point lead late in the set and were able to fend off a potential Adrian comeback to win the set 25-19 and fourth a decisive fifth set.
The Bulldogs got off to a quick lead in the fifth set but Wooster was able to claw its way back into the set, going on a 10-4 run to win the set, 15-11.
