WEST CHESTER, Pa. - The ACHA men's hockey team ran into a buzzsaw late Friday night at the ACHA Division I Showcase as Penn State handed them a 16-1 defeat. The Nittany Lions scored three times in the first five minutes before Adrian got on the board at 11:34 of the first as Tony Auksklanis scored an unassisted goal.

Lukas DeLorenzo had back-to-back goals for PSU just 26 seconds apart which basically put the game out of reach with Penn State leading 7-1 after 20 minutes. The Nittany Lions added four goals each in the second and third periods. Two different goaltenders had a total of 15 saves for the Bulldogs. Matt Welch had eight saves. DeLorenzo led PSU with five points including a hat trick. Jaime Zimmel also had a hat trick for Penn State.

The Bulldogs will look to rebound on Saturday against Stony Brook in the second game of the Showcase.
