ADRIAN, Mich. -
The men's ACHA hockey team was defeated 8-3 on Saturday afternoon by Robert Morris. The Bulldogs are now 1-4 overall early in the season.
Jared Semple gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead after scoring a power play goal off an assist from Mike Yakamovich and Milo Miller. The Eagles tied the game nearly two minutes later in the first period. Semple scored his second power play goal of the game to put Adrian up 2-1. Mark Eberline and Milo Miller were credited with an assist.
The Eagles scored four goals in the second period to obtain a comfortable lead. They also scored the first three goals in the third period. Chad Johnson scored three consecutive goals to earn a hat trick.
Jeff LeRoy scored the last goal of the game for the Bulldogs. Andrew Adams and Tony Aukskalnis each earned an assist.
The Bulldogs will travel to West Chester, Pa. to compete in the 6th Annual ACHA Showcase Tournament from Oct. 10-12. Adrian's first game will be against Penn State on Friday, Oct. 10 at 9:00 p.m.
