University Heights, Ohio - The Adrian College ACHA Div. 1 hockey team defeated John Carroll 8-2 on Friday night. Jared Semple and Steve Smith each scored two goals for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs were up 2-0 after the first period. Semple scored the first goal of the game off an assist from Mark Eberline. Andrew Connelly scored an unassisted goal less than a minute later to give Adrian the 2-0 advantage.

Eberline scored a goal in the second period to give Adrian a 3-0 lead. Mike Yakamovich and Zach Fowler each added power play goals to build a comfortable 5-0 lead. John Carroll got on the scoreboard at the 7:34 mark, but Adrian answered once again with a short handed goal from Steve Smith.

Semple and Smith each scored their second goal of the game in the third period to complete the 8-2 victory. Justen Mitchell and Eberline got assists on the Semple goal while Jeff LeRoy and Chad Bonmon were credited with assists on the goal from Smith.
