The circumstances were unfortunate on Wednesday for the men's
golf team as a very good round did not count towards the team
score, because senior Jordan Kelly entered the round as an
individual. The determination of your five scoring players needs to
be declared before the start of the round.
Nonetheless it was an even-par 72 for the senior from Adrian as
Kelly posted a 37-35 and tied for top honors with Ben Kuiper of
Calvin College. The Bulldogs needed that round because without it
they finished fifth with a team score of 318. Kelly's 72 would have
replaced an 84 and the 12-stroke improvement would have put Adrian
into second place behind the Knights.
Tyler Manning had the top team score for the Bulldogs for the
second straight jamboree with a 76 (+4) which tied for eighth. Brad Haley got his first action in the team column finishing with a 78
and tying for 16th.
Zach Davenport tied for 20th with an 80. Sterling Emery tied for
37th with an 84. David Sreiberg did not count towards the team
score as the fifth finisher for the Bulldogs with an 86.
