ANGOLA, Ind. - The men's golf team took to the links for a
one-day Bill Gettig Invitational on Saturday (Apr. 23) at Zollner
Golf Course in Angola, Indiana and placed second just one stroke
from first place with a team score of 369. The Polar Bears of Ohio
Northern carded a 368 as the tournament used five golfers instead
of the usual four in the scoring system to determine the final
results.
Mac Boucher continued his stellar play by tying for medalist
honors with a three-under par 69. He and Andy Thomson of Hope
College had identical 35's on the front nine and 34's on the back
nine of the par-72 layout covering 6,370 yards.
Connor Doria tied for sixth in his best showing of the spring
with a score of one-over par 73. He went 37 on the front and came
in with a 36. David Sreiberg playing in what could be his final
round as a senior shot two-over par 74 and tied for 12th. Tyler
Manning carded a two-over par 74 as well with equal 37's on each
nine. Senior Jordan Kelly finished tied for 44th as the fifth
golfer on the day with a score of 79.
