ADRIAN, Mich. - The ACHA women's hockey team has picked up right where they left off their inaugural season. After dropping their home opener to the University of Miami (Ohio), the Lady Bulldogs have rattled off a six-game unbeaten streak with a 5-0-1 record. With wins against Ohio State, newcomer to the CCWHA, Davenport University, and a 1-0 shutout of last year's top-ranked team, Liberty University, the Lady Bulldogs have been firing on all cylinders.
Senior goaltender Emily Michelin has backstopped the Lady Bulldogs to three of those wins, including two shutouts, and posted a 0.92 goals-against average and .950 save percentage to start the season. Sophomore winger Nichole Laflamme leads the way with five goals and three assists, with sophomore Riley Siddorn and her four goals and two assists nipping at her heels. Senior center Morgan Poole is averaging a point a game with six assists in six games. Freshman winger Jessica Fabbro has also put up four goals and one assist in her first seven collegiate games.
The Lady Bulldogs look to continue their streak at Georgetown Arena against Grand Valley State University (2-0-0) in CCWHA action on October 25th at 7 p.m. and October 26th at 5:30 p.m.
