The Adrian College ACHA Black team waited till 10:30 PM to take the ice at historic Yost Ice Arena on Friday night, but once the puck was dropped the wait for the Bulldogs was over as Adrian crushed the University of Michigan 8-0.
The Bulldogs scored three times in the opening period to take control of the game, which was more than enough behind freshman goaltender Gilbert Oldreive's shutout in the Adrian net.
Adrian continued to take the play to the Wolverines, however, scoring twice in the second period and three more time in the third to complete the 8 goal margin.
Sophomore forward Patrick Campbell led the Adrian attack with two goals in the contest, as Adrian scored their season high 8 goals for a second time this season.
The win pushes the Bulldogs record to 4-6-1 and Adrian will try reach the .500 mark with a pair of games against the University of Toledo starting on Thursday at 7 PM at Arrington Ice Arena.
