WICKLIFFE, Ohio--The nationally No. 20-ranked Adrian College women's bowling squad competed in two American-Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference Tournaments over the weekend, coming in eighth place out of 18 teams in both events.
On Saturday, Adrian knocked down 6,583 pins in the AHIBC #3. Junior Brittney Antonelli led the Bulldogs with a 200.8 average for five games, placing 10th out of 146 individuals. Senior Taylor Ouellette was 30th with a 183.4 and sophomore Jennifer Kelly was 34th at 179.2.
NCAA Division I Wright State was the top team with 7,303 pins, and Kayla Meadows from Division I Bowling Green was the top individual at 225.0.
In the AHIBC #4 on Sunday, Adrian (6,714 actual pins) had three student-athletes again in the top-40: Ouellette (34th, 189.75/4 games, sophomore Noelle Scheuer (35th, 189.50) and Antonelli (37th, 188.50).
The Raiders again came out on top in the team competition (7,563), and Brittany Ferrara from Division II Notre Dame College-Ohio was the first-place individual with 903 total pins, or a 225.75 average for four games.
Adrian travels to Indianapolis, Ind., next weekend for the Hoosier Classic on Saturday and Sunday.
