SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--A battle of American Collegiate Hockey Association Division III heavyweights turned decidedly towards the Bulldogs as Adrian College Gold traveled to the Southfield Sports Arena and defeated the previously unbeaten Lawrence Tech Blue Devils 9-0.

The Bulldogs, who entered the game with an 8-1 mark, scored three times in the opening period on goals by Joe Gibbs, Joe Laskero and Pat Campbell. The Bulldogs then put the game away with an impressive four goal uprising in the second period, as Laskero scored two more goals to register a hat trick and Zack MacKay and Kyle Schulz added two more to push the lead to 7-0.

Andy Petersmark and Trevor Benaglio added goals eight and nine in the final period to complete the Adrian scoring, as Adrian outshot the Blue Devils 33-22 on the evening.

Adrian is now 9-1 while Lawrence Tech falls to 8-1.
