KALAMAZOO, Mich.--The Adrian College men's golf team competed Monday in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree finale for the fall schedule at the Kalamazoo Country Club, where the Bulldogs ended up sixth with a 325 team score.
Junior Andrew Skibski paced Adrian with a 73 and a three-way tie for second-place overall, just four strokes shy of the individual leaderboard. Then there was a logjam with an 84 and tie for 28th by senior Zak Hart, and freshman Brett McGugan, Noah Kosal. Classmate Hayden Winch (T-35th, 86) rounded out the team's lineup. Freshman Carter Clarke participated as an individual (93, 45th).
Calvin College edged Hope College by one stroke for the team title, 299 to 300. Sam Holland of the winning Knights was the medalist with a 69. The host Hornets were fourth with a 321.
Next up, the MIAA Fall Championships will be held on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13-14 at the Battle Creek Country Club. The start time is scheduled for 1 p.m. both days.
