WYOMING, Mich.--The Adrian College men's golf team Friday began the opening round of the 2018 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Fall Tournament with a 299 combined score for sixth place. The final 18 holes will be held here at Kaufman Golf Course at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Freshman Jackson Tellerico leads Adrian with a three-over-par 73--a season low for a round--which is tied for 14th overall out of 47 individuals. The lineup also included freshman AJ Clark (74, T-17th), sophomores Hayden Winch (75, T-20th), Brett McGugan (77, T-24th) and senior Andrew Skibski (78, T-28th). In addition, sophomore Noah Kosal competed as an individual to shoot a 78 and tie for 28th place.
After 18 holes, Hope College leads Kalamazoo College by just a single stroke, 284 to 285. Andrew Lack of third-place Calvin College (288) tops the leaderboard so far with a 68 (-2).
Holes 1 and 10 shortened to par-3s due to course conditions.
This is the Bulldogs' final weekend of fall competition before resuming their schedule in the spring.
