Junior Andrew Skibski Sits in a Three-Way Tie for Second Place Overall at MIAA Men's Golf Spring Qualifier

WEST OLIVE, Mich.--The first day of the 2018 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Golf Automatic Qualifying Tournament is complete at the Wuskowhan Players' Club, where Adrian College is fourth as a team with 307 shots.

Junior Andrew Skibski sits in a three-way tie for second place overall at 1-under (70). Also competing for the Bulldogs are senior Zak Hart (T-13th, 78), freshmen Brett McGugan (T-13th, 78), Hayden Winch (17th, 81), Noah Kosal (20th, 86).

Host Hope College leads the team standings with a 284, followed by Calvin College (285), Trine University (298) and Adrian. Josh Gibson of the leading Flying Dutchmen tops the individuals with a four-under-67.

The MIAA Tournament continues next weekend at Watermark Country Club in Grand Rapids. Friday's play begins at 1 p.m. and Saturday starts at 9 a.m., hosted by Calvin College.
