ANGOLA, Ind.--On Saturday, the Adrian College men's golf team recorded a collective 311 for fifth place at the second Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree of the 2018-19 campaign.
Freshman AJ Clark's 73 as an individual set a personal record to set the tone for the Bulldogs, coming in tied for ninth overall for another personal benchmark so far in his AC career.
The Adrian lineup was led by sophomore Brett McGugan who carded a 77 and was tied for 21st, followed by senior Andrew Skibski (78, T-25th), freshman Jackson Tellerico (78, T-25th), and sophomores Hayden Winch (78, T-25th) and Noah Kosal (81, T-37th).
Hope College tripped up the host Trine Thunder, 277 to 296, for the team title and the Flying Dutchmen's Josh Gibson was the medalist with a 65 to beat out a 52-player field.
The Bulldogs return to action on Thursday (1 p.m.) for the MIAA Jamboree #3 hosted by Albion College at The Medalist Golf Course.
