EAST LANSING, Mich.--The Adrian College men's golf team ended the fall semester on Saturday with the final round of the 36-hole Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Fall Final on the Forest Akers West Golf Course. Adrian tallied a team score of 311+308=619 for fifth place, moving up one spot from Friday's opening 18 holes.
Senior Nolan Duda leaped ten places to finish 10th and tied with four others with a 78+75=153, followed by junior Hayden Winch (79+76=155, T-18th), freshman Trevor Benoit (76+79=155, T-18th), junior Brett McGugan (78+83=161, T-29th) and sophomore Jackson Tellerico (84+78=162, 33rd). In addition, freshman Jack Johnson entered as an individual, placing tied for 24th out of 47 competitors with a 78+79=157.
Following the event, the MIAA announced the all-conference team as Winch landed on the second unit for his performance during the fall season.
Trine University won the competition with a 290+293=583 and the Thunder's Grant Brettnacher was the medalist after shooting a 68+73=141.
