HOW IT HAPPENED
= Adrian outhit Cortland 12 to four.

= The Bulldogs got all the offense they would need in the top of the second inning, capitalizing on two Red Dragon errors. After seniors Dugan Darnell and Korey Mazur reached on a throwing error and single to left-center field, respectively, Cooper singled up the middle to plate Darnell for a 1-0 lead. Cooper later scored on a wild pitch to make it 2-0.

= Cortland cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the third when Giordano hit a sacrifice fly to right field with one out. Kippen led off with a single to left-center and advanced to third on a Bulldog fielding error. After a walk and runners on the corners, Williams prevented a tie game by getting Brian Corporan to ground out back to the pitcher to end the threat.

= In the fourth, Adrian scored twice to stretch the advantage to 4-1. Miller got a sacrifice fly to right field and Rainey had a RBI-single through the right side.

= Leading 5-1, the Bulldogs broke the game open with four runs in the seventh. Freshman pinch-hitter Kevin Cardentey had a RBI-single through the left side, Zschering drew a bases loaded walk and Miller and junior Brady Wood hit sacrifice flies.
