HOW IT HAPPENED
= Williams and four Bulldog relievers got all the runs they would need when the offense put up five runs on five hits and a walk in the top of the very first inning. Rainey had a run-scoring single through the right side for a 1-0 advantage and Baldus capped it with a RBI-single down the left field line.
= Leading 10-0, Adrian iced the win with eight runs in the seventh. Miller started it with a two-run double down the right field line and sophomore Nick Rauch ended it with a two-run double of his own to right-center.
= Alex Featherstone scored on a passed ball for an unearned run in the home eighth inning to spoil Adrian's combined shutout bid.
= The Bulldogs outhit the Stormy Petrels 19 to five.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= The Bulldogs improve to 7-2 all-time against the Petrels and 6-2 at Oglethorpe after the weekend sweep in which Adrian outscored its hosts, 32-9.
= Adrian is off to its best five-game start (4-1) since going 5-0 to begin the 2012 campaign.
= Mazur has supplanted sophomore teammate Brandon Cooper (T-2nd, .500) in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association batting with a .529 average.
= Rainey now ranks tied for second in MIAA RBIs with eight and Wood is tied for fourth with seven.
