ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College Men's ACHA Division 2 hockey team battled Denison University twice over the weekend, coming out with a 5-4 OT loss and a commanding, 8-4 win.

Friday's matchup, at Denison, saw freshman forward Sincere Toto open the scoring in the first period with his third tally of the season followed by junior forward
Will Nicholson completing the hat trick for his first three goals of the year to put the Bulldogs up 4-2 heading into the third period. Denison would then force overtime and win it in the extra frame. Goaltender Alexander Herman made 25 saves in the game.

The Bulldogs then returned home on Saturday evening to close out the series with Denison, and put together an eight-goal performance for the home crowd.

Cole Weber, Greg Obrycki, Ryan Hoover, George Sup,
Dominick Yamarino, Anderson O'Connor, and
Matyas Mach were the goal scorers for the Bulldogs. Senior defenseman
Steven Cope had three assists in the contest, while goaltender Petr Sup made 25 saves on 29 shots to earn the victory in goal.

The MD2 Bulldogs will welcome the Illinois State University RedBirds to the Arrington Ice Arena this Friday and Saturday night, and then travel to Trine University on Sunday afternoon. Puck drops at 9:45 PM, 7:00 PM, and 12:00 PM.
