MIAMI, Ohio -- The Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 1 hockey team won their only contest over the weekend, taking down the Miami University Ohio Red Hawks, 4-1, on Friday evening.

Freshman forward Ashlynn Stitt opened the scoring in the first period with her sixth goal of the season, followed by sophomore defenseman Gianna Miranda potting her first of the season. The Bulldogs then received goals from sophomore forwards Rhea Peterson and Tess McKerrow, who both now sit at three goals on the year. Freshman goaltender Judith Schneider turned aside 29 of 30 shots faced to earn her fourth win of the season.

The WD1 Bulldogs will look to extend their hot start to the season as they face off against Davenport University on Thursday and Saturday in a CCWHA conference matchup. Thursday's puck drop will be at 9:30 PM in Grand Rapids, while Saturday's face off will be at 11:00 AM at the Arrington Ice Arena.
