ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College Men's ACHA Division 2 hockey team opened their 2022-2023 campaign with a two-game split series with the University of Michigan Wolverines this past weekend. The Bulldogs started out at home on Thursday night, losing a close one, 1-0, to the Wolverines.

Sophomore goaltender, Daniel Fielding, made 31 stops in the loss. The team then traveled to Ann Arbor the next night to close out the series with a commanding 3-1 win. The Bulldogs striked first, 48 seconds into the game, on a goal from sophomore forward
Ryan Hoover, while freshman forward, Anderson O'Connor, and freshman defenseman,
Shaun Potts, tallied their first collegiate goals to round out the scoring.

Freshman goaltender,
Alexander Herman, earned the win in his first collegiate game, stopping 34 of 35 shots. Freshmen forwards,
Griffin Clark and
Greg Obrycki, also recorded their first collegiate points in the win.

The MD2 Bulldogs will travel to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin this weekend to compete in a neutral site tournament hosted by Marian University. They will take on Davenport University on Friday, Dakota College at Bottineau on Saturday, and then finish off the weekend with a match-up against Marian University on Sunday. Puck drops are 8:15PM, 6:15PM, and 12:00PM, respectively. All times are CST.
