CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Adrian College Men's Division 2 hockey team lost to DePaul University over the weekend, 7-4, at Johnny's IceHouse West in Chicago, Illinois. Game two, scheduled to be played at the Arrington Ice Arena on Saturday night, was canceled due to travel concerns.
Freshman forward Sincere Toto was the first Bulldog to reach the score sheet in Friday's contest, scoring his fifth goal of the season in the first period. Sophomore forward Joe Plaster then recorded his first goal of the season for the Bulldogs, making it 3-2 in favor of DePaul after one period of play. After a scoreless second period, freshman forward Sam Carper opened the third period scoring with his seventh of the season on the power play to tie the game at three. DePaul then pulled ahead once more, before senior forward Dominic Melone potted his team-leading tenth goal of the season to tie the game again for the Bulldogs. Matyas Mach scored for Adrian with just three seconds left in the game for a 7-5 finish. Sophomore goaltender Danny Fielding made 31 saves for the Bulldogs in the loss.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on December 2nd & 3rd in a home and home series with Davenport University. Puck drops at 7:00 PM on the 2nd and 3:00 PM on the 3rd.
