BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Adrian College baseball team played game two of the season in Alabama against Centre College. The No. 5 Bulldogs picked up another win in a 7-5 victory. 

Adrian exploded for a four run first inning as the visiting team. Thomas Miller singled to drive in the first run of the game followed by a single from Kevin Cardentey to lead 2-0. Later in the inning, Aaron Valentine drove in two with a single of his own. Centre picked up one in the bottom half of the inning. 

In the fourth inning, Ty Peck drove in a pair to extend the Bulldog lead to 6-1. 

Centre went on a run in the seventh to put up a four spot to make it a 6-5 ballgame. 

In the eighth, Andrew Atherton hit a sac fly to give Adrian some insurance to come away with a 7-5 win. 

Austin Frederick got the start going four innings allowing one run on five hits. Michael Swanson came in relief to get the win after two innings of work. Jacob Hanoian recorded his first save of the season with a scoreless ninth inning. 

Adrian returns tomorrow against No. 7 Birmingham Southern at 6:00 PM EST.
