BRISTOL TN., – The Adrian College women's wrestling team had another consistent weekend. This time while participating at the Tornado Open, six members of the womens wrestling team placed in the top four individually. Of the six Bulldogs, four finished second in their respective weight class, including Taylor Cutler, Nyla Burgess, and Shawna Oesterling.
In the 136 first place match, Viktorya Torres (King University) won by tech fall over junior Shawna Oesterling (Adrian College). Oesterling would place second in the afternoon.
Isabel Worthing, the freshman from East Jackson High School of the 143 class, would place 4th this afternoon, while in the 155 class, Bulldogs Taylor Cutler and Megan Vondrasek would place second and third.
During the first place match of the 155 class, Tiffani Baublitz (King University) won by fall over Taylor Cutler. Megan Vondrasek, Adrian's second 155 class member, won by fall over Jordan Johnston (Schreiner University) to secure a third place finish this weekend.
Lastly, in the 170 class, during the first place match, Cheyenne Bowman (King University) won by fall over Nyla Burgess. Nyla Burgess would place second in the afternoon.
Up Next: The Bulldogs will travel to Guelph, Ontario, to participate in the Guelph Open.
