CANTON, Mich. -- The Adrian College Men's ACHA Division 2 hockey team completed the sweep of Concordia University (MI) on Friday night, improving its record to 8-0 to start the season.
The Bulldogs defeated Concordia 7-2 on Thursday night at the Arrington Ice Arena, thanks to two goals from
Dominic Melone and one each from
Sam Carper,
Brady DesMadryl,
Will Nicholson,
Willie McGuire, and
Griffin Clark. Goaltender
Petr Sup earned the win in net, stopping 10 of 12 shots.
Friday night saw the Bulldogs travel to Canton, Michigan to close out the series, this time coming out with a 4-0 win. Goals from
Greg Obrycki,
Steven Cope,
Jack Kraemer, and DesMadryl sealed the deal for Adrian, while freshman goaltender
Peyton Lenger earned his first career win and shutout in the ACHA.
The MD2 Bulldogs will host Denison University on Thursday, October 19 at 7:30 PM at the Arrington Ice Arena, and will then travel to Denison on Friday, October 20 for a 8:00 PM start.
