ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College Men's ACHA Division 3 hockey team dropped two games to the defending ACHA Division 3 National Champions, the University of Michigan, on Saturday and Sunday.

The Bulldogs travelled to Canton on Saturday night in hopes of collecting their first win of the season and taking down the defending National Champions of Division 3. Although, Adrian came up short in a close game, losing 6-3. Evan Bliss, James Schmidt, and Henry Darnell provided the Bulldog goals. Goaltender, Rex Goldberg, was in net for the loss.

The two teams played their rematch on Sunday afternoon at the Arrington Ice Arena in another tight game, but it was Michigan who pulled out in the end, 7-3. Max Sorel scored his first collegiate goal for Bulldogs in the first period, followed by Bliss potting another to make it 3-2 Michigan after one period. The Wolverines would add two more in the second before Bliss added another, this time with a shorthanded 5-on-3 goal, bringing the score to 5-3 after two frames. The Bulldogs would allow two more in the third period to fall 7-3. Goldberg was stellar again, making 37 saves on 44 shots.

The MD3 Bulldogs will have nearly two weeks off before their next game when they take on Lawrence Tech in a home and home series on October 21-22. Puck drop on the 21st is 11:00 PM in Farmington Hills, while puck drop on the 22nd will be at 4:00 PM at the Arrington Ice Arena.
