ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Adrian College baseball team traveled to Trine University on Tuesday to complete the three-game series with the Thunder. The Bulldogs and Trine were tied 1-1 in the series as Adrian went on to win the final game, 10-3. The Bulldogs were led by
AJ Miranda who finished 4-for-4 with a pair of home runs, four runs scored, and five RBIs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miranda drove in the first two runs of the game on a 2-RBI double in the top of the first. Later in the inning,
Edward Wagner singled in a run to lead 3-0.
- In the second inning,
Logan Loeffler hit a solo home run to left field to extend the lead to 4-0.
- Trine answered back in the bottom of the second inning to make it 4-1.
- Miranda went on to hit a solo shot in the third inning followed by a 2-run homer in the fifth inning to put the Bulldogs ahead 7-1.

Linken Hayward singled in a run in the sixth inning to extend the lead. Trine responded with a run in the bottom of the inning to make the score 8-2.
- Adrian added a run in the seventh on a wild pitch before scoring again in the eighth on a Wagner double to lead 10-2.
- Trine scored on an error in the ninth, but the Bulldogs shut the Thunder down in the inning to win 10-3.

Jaxon Clark earned the win on the mound for Adrian after throwing six innings allowing two runs on five hits with four strikeouts.
- The Adrian offense finished with 18 hits on the afternoon. Miranda, Hayward, Wagner, Loeffler,
Don Goodes, and
Jakob Charles all had multi-hit games for the Bulldogs.

Adrian opens a series this weekend on the road with Olivet College on Friday, April 21 at 4:00 PM. Adrian will then host Olivet on Saturday for a doubleheader scheduled to start at 1:00 PM.
