TECUMSEH, Mich. – The Adrian College men's golf team hosted and competed in the 2023 Irish Hills Intercollegiate two-day tournament over the weekend, finishing in fourth place with a score of 613. The Bulldogs team A shot an opening day team score of 306, followed by a score of 307 in day two. The Bulldogs team B finished in 12th place with a two-day total of 651.
Hendrik De Koning
led the way for Adrian with a two-day score of 150 to finish tied for third in the field. De Koning collected a 75 on both day one and day two.
Gabe Campbell was the next best Bulldog, finishing the tournament with a two-day score of 152 (74 and 78).
Christian Long was next with a 78 and 76 for a 154 two-day score, while
Ryan Van Eyk finished with a 78 and 79 for a 157 two-day score.
Sam Sawyer finished his weekend with a 79 and 78 (157) and
Joe Renfer finished with a 84 and 78 (162).
Cameron Bozyk secured a 79 and 84 for a two-day score of 163,
Jaden Eggers collected a 87 and 79 for a 166 two-day total,
Connor May with an 85 and 90 for a 175,
Mason Gurney with a 95 and 86 for a 181 and Vinny LaFata finished with a 110 and 97 for a 207 two-day score.
The Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday, September 19 at 1:00 PM when they travel to Albion College for MIAA Jamboree #1 at Cascades Golf Course.
