GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Adrian College Men's ACHA Division 2 hockey team started its season with an 11-1 win over Denison University and a 6-3 win over Davenport University at the Davenport Showcase in Grand Rapids over the weekend.
In Friday's game against Denison, the Bulldogs received goals from
Willie McGuire,
Tyler Hissong,
Michael Tucker,
Cole Weber,
Greg Obrycki,
Marcus Mack,
Sam Carper, and two each from
Joey Finfer and
Griffin Clark. Goaltender,
Alexander Herman, earned the win in goal for Adrian, stopping 16 of 17 shots.
Saturday's contest with Davenport ended in a 6-3 comeback win for the Bulldogs. Down 3-2 going into the third period, Adrian stormed back, scoring four unanswered in the final frame to secure the victory. Goals came from

Jack Kraemer, with Herman earning the win in goal again.
The MD2 Bulldogs will host Central Michigan University on Friday, September 29 at the Arrington Ice Arena for their home opener. Puck drop at 7:00 PM. The team will then travel to Mount Pleasant on Saturday to conclude the home and home series with Central Michigan.
