ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College Men's ACHA Division 3 hockey team was swept by Oakland University in the first home and home series of the season, losing 8-1 on the road Friday night, and 9-4 at home on Sunday afternoon.
Friday's contest saw the Golden Grizzlies get out to an 8-0 lead before freshman forward,
Greg Feamster, scored his first collegiate goal for the Bulldogs late in the game. Junior goaltender,
Brandon Hiuser, made 22 saves on 27 shots in two periods of play while
Luc Miklos stepped up in relief, stopping 18 of 21 shots in the third period.
The Bulldogs and Grizzlies then met again at the Arrington Ice Arena on Sunday afternoon for the team's home opener. Freshman,
Jakob Malenich, potted two power play goals for the Bulldogs, while
Evan Bliss and freshman,
Emery Johnson, also found the back of the net. Goaltender,
Rex Goldberg, made 56 saves on 65 shots in the Adrian loss.
The Bulldogs will next be in action on Tuesday, September 26 when they travel to Angola, Indiana to take on Trine University at 7:30 PM. The two teams will then battle twice more on the weekend, on Friday at 9:00 PM in Angola, and on Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Arrington Ice Arena.
